A Presentation of the Payatas Mission Outreach

Once an American colony, the Philippines gained their independence in 1946.

It is the third largest, English speaking country in the world

Comprised of 7,107 islands and 76 & 1/2 million people, the Philippine people are perhaps the most friendly and hospitable people in the world.

Cebu,Philippines  Cebu, Philippines

This is Cebu. Also known as the "Queen City of the South", only minutes from the city are beautiful white sand beaches, crystal blue waters and swaying palm trees.

The dialect of Cebu known as "Cebuano" is their main language but Tagalog and English are also widely spoken here.

With many industries and as a financial leader in the Visayas, Cebu has a healthy economy as well as much beauty.

Bohol, PhilippinesBohol, PhilippinesBohol, Philippines

Bohol, essentially an agricultural province, producing rice, coconut and corn, and is rapidly becoming a tourist destination.

One of it's main attractions are the wondrous "Chocolate Hills" which have drawn thousands of foreign and domestic tourists. These perfectly cone shaped hills that abound in Bohol are the only one of their kind in the world!

Besides being a beautiful resort area, Bohol is home to the smallest primate in the world. The Tarsier, measures 4-5 inches long with a tail longer than its body. The Boholanos welcome you to come watch the Tarsiers in the native habitat in the town of Corella.
